Rich Skuse won the draw for truck of the month. He chose his modified King Hauler. I am not a great lover of the US style trucks, and honestly,I have only ever built a Scania. There a re loads of trucks out there that I look at and think wow, or how did they do that, but honestly it pays to take a look at an understated truck. This is one of those.

Until you look closely the detail is somewhat hidden, as I said this is based on a king hauler with mods.

The drive train is always hidden, this has standard Tamiya gearbox with a poison motor but with an added 3:1 planetary reduction box. That gives it a bit of pulling power.

Sound and light are provided by a USM-RC-2 and it does has a few lights!

Now starting at the front There is a Texas slab bumper fully lit. Next you come to CNC Ali Trilex wheels, Up to the visor which is not obvious as its not shiny metal but it does set the cab off. Above are carson beacons. Then working rearward is a blocky US style aircon unit. Stainless stacks. pogo stick airline guid back to the rear with watermelon style lights.

The plain white cab hides the truth of this truck, and its teeth (well a hell hound must have teeth. Right?)

Rich chose a low loader for his rig to pull, its a 3d printed one originally designed to take a Tamiya flat bed deck. This has an Aluminium deck that rich scratch built. The load is an EE shovel loader.  The trailer is an understated black in contrast to the truck. But have a closer look. Only load I have seen that is properly tied down.

Go take a look! Even if it isn't a Scania, it's one nice truck.
