We are now 6 months in and we are becoming a well oiled machine. This months meeting was challenged by the rain but although some people were put off there were still a lot of people that came and by lunch time we had over 60 people with us.

As I said, some people were put off by the rain and that did show itself, although all the yard space was allocated, not all of the yards were laid out so that did leave some spaces on the floor. Having said that, although some people did not come due to the weather (It doesn't rain inside you know!), we did have more new drivers arrive. I say new drivers but they are mostly old friends, so some enjoyable catch ups!

We have noticed that there are a fair few spectators that are there because their partner/child is there.

Did you know that we have some trucks that they could drive? You don't need to have any experience, we will provide all the equipment and driver training for a small fee to cover costs.

We currently have around 6 juniors and one lady driver but would like to see more so please see if your family would like to take up the offer of a drive.

This month was the second month that we have had the "draw" for Truck of the Month. Just to reiterate this is to celebrate the range of trucks that are brought to meetings so box build, full modified, tractor, tractor and trailer, box truck, plant equipment etc. they all qualify for a highlight. For this month's truck check out the article here.

So, we are 6 months in from our first meet and just under 8 months from the idea. It doesn't feel like that as for a lot of that time we were running just to keep up but we have slowed down a bit and feel more bedded in, looking back I cannot believe how worried we were that the first meet would not be a success. Onwards and upwards. The 6th month of operation saw the 5th different layout (we have only had 5 meetings), we hope you like the variety. Did you know that with a team of 9 it takes around 90 minutes to set up and 60 to pack up. We try and get the basics done faster so that we can allow people with yards in to set up.

Anyway on to the trucks, a few different trucks this month including Ed's stunning Volvo and fridge trailer which has loads of detail outside but even more inside! Rich Skuse's King Hauler and trailer with a nicely understated finish to it and some more old friends back on the track.

Enough of this on to the pics!
