This months meeting prep started with a bit of a panic with colds and injuries making it look like we would be a couple of men down.

Stu has re-injured his knee and cannot bend it, so he is hobbling round, and Rob has had a bad cold but was luckily nearly recovered by Sunday (but still feeling the effects). A couple of calls were made, and we were lucky enough to secure some help with the layout build. (Phew). The connectivity issue for the card reader seems to have been solved so that was back in use, it is a simpler method of taking the money. This is the second layout with the new rubber and we are still making some adjustments, but we were finished in good time for the start of what proved to be a very relaxed meeting with a great atmosphere.

We were lucky to welcome Ian and his son all the way from Wolverhampton and a couple who came from Barnstaple to spectate. It must mean we are doing something right.

Check out the C&J fleet in the pictures, stunning trucks! Ians son is also the best young driver we have come across. Super skills.

As you will be aware this month we held our AGM, A few teething problems with the schools new PA system but we got there. We started with our chairman who went through what the club is and what we are about, swiftly followed by the treasurer explaining where the club sits financially, and what we need to do for the future. We finished up with a couple of words from our vice chairman, who was going to answer submitted questions, a bit of a lack there so he asked the floor - still none.

Please though we do want, and need, your feedback on everything we do.

Once again there were some very nice trucks around and the yards are getting to look much more professional. The C&J trucks were mint and the wrecker towing the burnt out artic was spot on, might have to get mine out and upgrade the radio. We (the committee) thoroughly enjoyed this meet, let's keep it that way! We would also like to extend our thanks for the offers of help that we received and let you all know that we will be in touch. Onwards and upwards.
