The club meetings seem to come around rather quickly, I guess because there is a lot to fit in (apart from my own builds).

This month we have purchased and fitted a new top for the trailer, it was in a sad state! We have also purchased a PA system for use at shows, and possibly for the hall since we can no longer access the halls PA system.

There are a couple more things in the mix but they need a bit of work yet.

This month Paul and Stu were away so we were ever more grateful for the help and support of those that turned up to help with base set up. This was the 7th different layout in the last 8 meetings, I think we can tweak this one a bit but then it was already tweaked as well. We once again had a large call for yards but landed up with 2 not taken and 2 that could not come. Sadly it does make those parts of the layout look a little empty.

We had 44 drivers and 18 spectators in the hall but it did not look too busy. We hope you had another great day.

For next month I am going to suggest to the committee that we publish our current set of layouts and let you all choose.

For me it was another fantastic meeting with some great trucks and a growing number of excavators etc. It looks good for the hobby long term. Also great to catch up with people and see what they are up to!

We have always said that we are open to suggestions but get a vanishingly small number. Please please share your ideas with us and we will take a look and implement what we can.

Thank you all for coming and making these meetings the great events that they are.

Lastly a reminder that booking for the Devon Truck Show is now open on the website. Booking is open to members only due to insurance issues but if you are not a member you can always join. Drop us a line and we will send the paperwork out!

On to the pictures.
