Where does the time go, as we reached the end of our 2024/25 season, and the end of the fourth year of our fantastic club.
A great turnout of familiar regulars who regularly attend our meets, as well as a couple of new members, one who has been following us on Facebook for a while, and another who bought his almost finished truck, and what a fantastic model it is, for it’s maiden trip out.
As usual there was as much socialising as driving going on, and a few problem solving conversations, which is what the club is all about, helping each other enjoy the hobby.
After thinking we had seen the last of John Bates in May he appears again today, with his move to Yorkshire delayed due to an issue with his visa! So once again John we wish you all the best with your move and hope all eventually goes to plan.
For those of you who attended Devon Truck Show, you know we all had a fantastic time, and produced what was probably the best show layout we have done to date. We announced our attendance at The Truck Show Cornwall and already have a few members signed up for what will surely be another great weekend.
As usual we had a good selection of trucks and yards on display, a testament to the skill and ingenuity of our members.
I would just like to take this opportunity for a few thank yous, to Pete for swiftly getting up to speed as our new Layout Manager, Daz and his layout team’s hard work in setup and tear down each month, to Mandie for seamlessly dropping into the Treasurer and Front Desk role, to Lin and Claire, for their sterling work in the kitchen, and apologies to those who suffered my abysmal tea and coffee making expertise this morning, not my fault I forgot the urn wasn’t working! And finally to each and everyone of you for your continued support of the club throughout the year, it is very much appreciated, and remember this is YOUR club!
Hope you all have a fantastic summer break, and we look forward to welcoming you all back for our 5th season in September. We have a few new ideas for next season, but remember if you have an idea or would like to see something different at Weston, then get in touch, and we will see what we can do to make it happen, but please remember we are not miracle workers!

Sunday saw our penultimate meet of our 2025 season.

Our recent meeting at Weston-Super Mare held on Sunday 13th April 2025 was another great success, with strong support from members who attended. While the number of yards was lower than usual, the atmosphere more than made up for it — there was plenty of social activity and good spirits all around.
